Anglo Swiss Club Solothurn

Der Anglo Swiss Club Solothurn wurde 1938 gegründet. Die Absicht der Gründer war, die englische Sprache und Kultur, sowie den Kontakt mit Leuten aus englischsprachigen Ländern pflegen. Daran hat sich bis heute nichts geändert.



Der Verein ist sehr aktiv und organisiert jeden Monat Anlässe der geselligen oder kulturellen Art. Gut frequentiert sind auch die «coffee mornings» am letzten Donnerstagmorgen des Monats und «coffee afternoons» am 2. Dienstagnachmittag des Monats. Am Montagabend ist jeweils ein wöchentlicher Treffpunkt im Red Johns Pub in Solothurn. The Anglo Swiss Club Solothurn was started in 1938 to bring together people from English speaking backgrounds as well as Swiss locals who enjoy speaking English. The aims of the club are to cultivate the knowledge of the English language and to keep in touch with people of English-speaking countries. 


We have monthly club events and try to keep our programme as varied as possible to cater for everyone. Our monthly coffee mornings (last Thursday of the month), coffee afternoons (2ndTuesday of the month) and the weekly meetings in the Red John Pub in Solothurn are also well frequented.
